Saturday 30th August - Joint Concert with Kinneil Brass Band to celebrate their 150th Anniversary. Concert starts at 7.30pm in St. Michael's Parish Church, Linlithgow. Tickets cost £6 (£5 concession) and are available from Blast Off Books, Norman Cummings or from the committee.
Kinneil used to be a military band until 1954 when they decided to go all-brass. The formation of Linlithgow Reed Band in 1956 flowed from that decision, so it is fitting that we celebrate our joint history together.

During the Eater weekend 2008, the band enjoyed a very successful playing holiday to West Lothian's twinned district of Hochsauerlandkreis (HSK) in North Germany.

Long and careful planning, starting from July 2007 when Murdoch Kennedy and Edgar Liddle payed a private visit to friends in HSK, followed through by a supportive and enthusiastic committee, brought a short but happy Easter weekend to a great conclusion.

Many thanks also to Brian McSherry's expertise in road transport, the bus packing and travel was slicker than on previous occasions. (this was the Reed Band's fourth visit to Germany)
